Fannin County Young Farmers Association

Scholarship

Every year the Fannin Young Farmers Association awards one student with a scholarship to pursue their love of agriculture and environmental studies. Lit’l Pond Hospitality Group and The Cook’s Farm know the hard work and satisfaction that comes from farming and protecting our environment. That’s why we’re honored to be teaming up with the Young Farmers in growing the next generation of agricultural stewards.

Help us support this critical mission with an Afternoon in the Country – a day dedicated to food, farming and fun. Join local farmers and chefs as they create a meal on the farm with all regional ingredients. We’ll learn about canning, beekeeping, foraging, farming and the long and varied history of sustainable farming in the Appalachians.

Guests include long-time Appalachian residents who will lead foraging classes, beekeeping demonstrations and more … all proceeds go to the Fannin CountyYoung Farmers Association Scholarship fund. Dinner will be prepared by the culinary team at Lit’l Pond Hospitality – plus locally canned, pickled and distilled products from all our friends and neighbors. Don’t miss this amazing event. Tickets are $100 per person, inclusive of all the day’s activities, dinner and beverages! All proceeds go to the scholarship fund.
